5 Questions to Ask Your Doctor
When you see a doctor (or other healthcare professional), it’s good to ask questions to help you understand your condition and treatment. Consider asking:
- What are the treatment options?
- What are the side effects or risks associated with each option?
- How long will the treatment last, and how will I know if the treatment is working?
- What will happen if I don’t have any treatment?
- What can I do to help myself?
Note. Ask Me 3: This programme encourages you to ask three key questions:
- What is my main problem?
- What do I need to do?
- Why is it important for me to do this?
